    2. Entries for the Barneswood Farm NZ 1000 Guineas Day Prize close at 12pm Thursday 29 October 2026. Entries for the other three Prizes close at 12pm on Sunday 22 November 2026.

    3. Entries received outside the applicable entry period will not be accepted.

  3. Eligibility

    1. Entry is open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years or over.

    2. Each person accompanying a Winner must also be aged 18 years or over.

    3. The following people may not enter:

      1. employees and contractors of NZTR, the participating Clubs, Calibrate, TAB New Zealand and Entain New Zealand Limited and its related entities; and
      2. the immediate family members of those employees and contractors.
    4. Immediate family includes a spouse or partner, parent, step-parent, grandparent, child, step-child, grandchild or sibling, whether by birth, marriage, adoption or cohabitation.

    5. NZTR may verify an entrant’s eligibility and the validity of an entry. An entrant must provide any information reasonably requested by NZTR within the time specified by NZTR.

    6. NZTR may disqualify an entrant who provides inaccurate information, tampers with the entry or draw process, gains an unfair advantage, breaches these terms, or engages in conduct that may damage the reputation of NZTR, a participating Club, Entain or the thoroughbred racing industry.

    7. A person who Entain reasonably determines should be excluded for legal, regulatory, integrity, safer betting or operational reasons is not eligible to enter or win a Prize.

  4. How to enter

    1. Entry is free. To enter, an eligible person must complete and submit the online entry form during the Competition period and provide all information requested, including their selected raceday, preferred hospitality option and four preferred experiences.

    2. An entrant may submit one entry, unless explicitly provided for by NZTR. Duplicate, incomplete, inaccurate, automated or illegible entries may be disqualified. On completing an entry, each entrant receives a unique link to share. The entrant will receive one bonus entry for each other eligible person who completes an entry using that link. NZTR may void any bonus entry it reasonably believes was obtained through a duplicate, false or automated entry.

    3. NZTR is not responsible for any entry that is not received, or is delayed, misdirected, incomplete or corrupted, because of a technical or system error or other event beyond NZTR’s reasonable control.

    4. Each Winner must promptly provide the full names, dates of birth and travel details of their three chosen companions and any other information reasonably required to arrange the Prize.

  7. What each Prize includes

    1. Each Prize is for the Winner and three companions (Group) and includes:

      2. hospitality and food for the Group in one of the two options offered by the relevant participating Club, as selected in the Winner’s entry and subject to availability;
      3. a $500 bar tab for the Group, subject to the venue’s conditions and responsible service of alcohol requirements;
      4. $500 of TAB Bonus Cash, comprising $125 for each member of the Group, subject to clause 10;

    2. Unless expressly stated in clause 7.1, the Prize does not include meals, drinks, spending money, insurance, transport, upgrades, taxes, fees or incidental expenses. The Winner and companions are responsible for those costs.

    3. The Prize is personal to the Winner. It is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash, and may not be sold, assigned or otherwise dealt with.

    4. If a Winner or companion does not use any part of the Prize at the time arranged, that part is forfeited. No cash, credit, alternative benefit or rescheduling will be provided.

  8. Travel and accommodation

    1. Travel dates are fixed. Unless NZTR advises otherwise, the Group will travel to the raceday location on the Friday immediately before the raceday and return on the Sunday immediately after it. Accommodation is for those two nights only. No date changes or extensions are permitted.

    2. NZTR will determine and book all travel, accommodation, room configurations, routes, carriers and transfers in its discretion. Arrangements are subject to availability and the terms of the relevant suppliers.

    3. The Winner and companions must travel on the bookings made by NZTR, hold any identification required by a supplier, comply with supplier terms and venue requirements, and arrive on time.

    4. NZTR may arrange ground transport instead of flights where a Winner or companion lives sufficiently close to the raceday location.

    5. NZTR is not responsible for missed travel caused by a Winner’s or companion’s act or omission, or for costs arising from a delay, cancellation or disruption outside NZTR’s reasonable control.

    3. NZTR or the participating Club may change or withdraw an experience at any time. If an experience is unavailable or cannot safely or reasonably be provided, neither NZTR nor the Club is required to provide an alternative or compensation.

    4. The Winner and companions must comply with all reasonable directions of NZTR, the Club, racing officials and experience providers. Access to restricted racing areas is always subject to approval and may be withdrawn at any time.

    3. TAB may require a Bonus Cash Recipient to provide identification or other information to verify their age, identity, residency, account status, eligibility and compliance with these terms.

    4. If TAB determines that a Bonus Cash Recipient is ineligible or unsuitable to receive TAB Bonus Cash, that person will forfeit their $125 allocation. No cash or substitute benefit will be provided to that person or any other member of the Group.

    2. NZTR may refuse or withdraw any part of the Prize if the Winner or a companion is intoxicated, behaves unsafely or unlawfully, breaches these terms, or engages in conduct that may bring NZTR, a participating Club, Entain, the Competition or the thoroughbred racing industry into disrepute. No compensation will be payable.

  12. Publicity and content

    1. By accepting a Prize, each Winner agrees to participate in reasonable publicity connected with the Competition and the raceday.

    2. Each Winner and companion consents to NZTR, the relevant participating Club and their authorised contractors photographing, filming and recording them during the Prize and using their name, image, voice and that content, without further payment, for reporting on and promoting the Competition, the raceday, LOVERACING.NZ and future racing promotions in any media.

    3. NZTR will not require a Winner or companion to make an endorsement that does not reflect their genuinely held views.

  13. Personal information

    1. NZTR will collect and use entrants’ personal information to administer and promote the Competition, verify eligibility, contact entrants and Winners, arrange the Prizes, understand entrants’ raceday preferences, and for the other purposes described at the point of collection and in NZTR’s Privacy Policy.

    2. As a condition of entry, NZTR will share an entrant’s contact details, primary racing Club, selected raceday, selected hospitality option and selected experiences with:

      1. the racing Club identified by the entrant as their primary Club; and
      2. the participating Club that hosts the entrant’s selected raceday.
    3. Those Clubs may use the information to help administer the Competition and relevant raceday, understand entrant preferences, and contact the entrant about the Competition and the selected raceday. By entering, the entrant also agrees to receive communications from NZTR and its affiliated clubs and partners.

    4. NZTR may also disclose a Winner’s and companions’ information to Calibrate, Entain, travel providers, accommodation providers, participating Clubs and other Prize suppliers where reasonably necessary to administer the Competition and provide the Prize.

  14. Changes, cancellation and substitution

    1. If circumstances outside NZTR’s reasonable control affect the Competition or a Prize, including weather, safety concerns, race meeting changes, supplier failure, technical failure, public health events or government action, NZTR may postpone, extend, amend, suspend or cancel the Competition or change a draw, raceday, venue, itinerary, Prize component or supplier.

    2. If a Prize component becomes unavailable, NZTR may substitute a component of reasonably similar type and value where reasonably practicable.

    3. NZTR will give reasonable notice of a material change where practicable, including by updating the Competition webpage or contacting affected entrants or Winners.

  15. Liability

    1. Participation in the Competition and use of a Prize are at the entrant’s, Winner’s and companions’ own risk.

    2. To the greatest extent permitted by law, NZTR, the participating Clubs, Calibrate, Entain and their respective employees, contractors and representatives are not liable for any loss, damage, cost, injury, delay or disappointment arising from the Competition or a Prize, including an act or omission of a third-party supplier or an event outside their reasonable control.

    3. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified, including any applicable rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

  16. General

    1. NZTR may amend these terms where reasonably necessary to protect the fairness or integrity of the Competition, address a circumstance outside its reasonable control, or correct an error. The current terms will be published on the Competition webpage.

    2. If any provision of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.

    3. These terms are governed by New Zealand law. The New Zealand courts have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any dispute arising from the Competition.
